Claritas Drives 126% Lift in Job Applications for Indeed

Challenge

Indeed aimed to determine whether AI-driven optimization could outperform traditional media strategies when the objective is to drive job applications, not just clicks or impressions.

In partnership with Claritas, the team launched a display campaign focused on increasing Apply Starts, defined as the moment a job seeker begins the application process on the Indeed platform. The goal was to optimize media toward meaningful, conversion-based outcomes across four key job sectors: Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and Healthcare.

Solution

Claritas partnered with essencemediacom and Indeed to launch an AI-powered display campaign in Germany, leveraging our AI Creative Optimization technology to drive Apply Starts. Using over 400 creative variations, the AI continuously evaluated performance and automatically prioritized the most effective messaging and visuals for each job category.
This real-time optimization ensured the campaign adapted to audience behavior and maintained efficiency throughout the campaign. Our server-to-server (S2S) integration also enabled direct visibility into conversions, marking the first time Indeed could track Apply Starts at this level.

Claritas’ AI Creative Optimization (AIO) represents a significant evolution beyond traditional Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO). While DCO typically relies on rule-based logic and predefined decision trees, AIO uses real-time data signals to dynamically select and serve the most effective creative combinations, without the need for manual setup or if/then rules. In the Indeed campaign, this meant leveraging over 400 creative variations, with the AI continuously learning and adapting based on performance. This advanced approach enabled the campaign to reach the right audience with the right message at the right time, driving more Apply Starts and lifting conversion rates all while reducing operational complexity.
